Black Walnut Café Conroe is now featuring local artist Liz Hill’s unique artwork titled “Aeronautical Rodeo”.
The mixed media artwork features an original blue print of a F-14 Tomcat fighter jet. The Black Walnut Café Conroe is located on the third floor of the Galaxy FBO, hence the “Aeronautical Rodeo” theme is quite a good match for its dining room! The Black Walnut Café Conroe is open to the public for breakfast and lunch everyday from 7am to 3pm.
About Liz Hill
“The main focus of her work now is figurative work. I work in water media as it enables me to draw and paint quickly. My work is contemporary in feeling, and the addition of collage materials reflect our world today. I am not interested in copying the past.”
Liz started her serious art training at the Los Angeles Art Center School at age 17. She studied advertising design and illustration. She enjoyed the experience and developed her very own drawing style which many would like to copy.
She attended the University of Houston and studied under John Alexander and Gael Stack, something she treasures to this day, as they inspired her to find her own voice. She continued her art education always and studied under many fine teachers. She moved to the Woodlands in 2001 and loves the artist opportunities she finds there. She has many ribbons for her oils, but 6 years ago she was introduced to water media and never looked back. She joined the Watercolor Society of Houston and has gained recognition for her work all over Texas and beyond. Her work is currently being shown at Mossrock Gallery, The Woodlands, The Houston Watercolor Society, Houston and Holland Street Gallery in Bellville. Her work was recently chosen for the finals in the Woodlands High School Art Trust, as well as many other venues in Houston.
Liz Hill is a member of the Conroe Art League and lives in the Montgomery County.
