The Concours d’Elegance of Texas and the Houston Classic Motorcar Weekend began today with the annual Tour d’Elegance; a scenic guided tour of the Montgomery County.
Around 40 vintage and exotic cars started the tour at the La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa Conference Center and drove to Black Walnut Café Conroe for lunch.
While our massive 9 acre ramp provided the many hard to find vintage cars an opportunity for a joint photo; the owners enjoyed the 3rd floor patio view from the Black Walnut Café.
The Concours d’Elegance of Texas continues on Saturday, May 3rd with Worldwide Auctioneers’ 13th annual catalog auction sale, The Houston Classic Auction, with more than 100 of the world’s finest and rarest motorcars lining up to go under the auction hammer. On Sunday, May 4th The Concours d’Elegance of Texas will have a spectacular gathering of vintage motorcars, race cars and antique motorcycles, assembled from collections across the country to be judged for appearance and originality. Various events are scheduled to benefit local organizations, including the Montgomery County Emergency Assistance.
Plan a road trip this summer and come check us out in North Houston. Black Walnut Café Conroe is open to public seven days a week for breakfast / weekend brunch and lunch (7am to 3pm everyday!) You’ll never know what you’ll see on the ramp, a Gulfstream or even a rare Bentley Azure Convertible (only 70 ever produced in the world!)
