Galaxy FBO hosted Rising Aviation High School’s Aviation Summer Camp at the Addison Airport.
Rising Aviation High School located at the Addison Airport, is built on the foundations of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) curriculum with an emphasize on aviation.
The school offered an innovative educational summer program led by current, practicing aviation professionals, including aviation mechanics, certified flight instructors, airline pilots and ground support technicians. The week-long, hands-on experience immersed students in many areas of aviation and aerospace, from aviation history to popular areas that include flight, drones, engineering, and mechanics.
On Wednesday, June 22nd – Galaxy FBO team hosted the summer camp at our temporary hangar at the Addison Airport, to educate the students on Fixed Base Operations, from ground support line services to customer support. Students enjoyed checking out several piston and jet craft in our hangar, and got onboard a Cessna Citation Mustang. The summer camp also toured the new Galaxy FBO Addison facilities currently under construction and experienced first-hand how a world-class FBO is designed and built.
